Physiotherapy Project 04/2013

This mission was completely different from our usual work.
I, (Matt) assisted Patti Lien, a physiotherapist from Baltimore, USA.
Patti came to volunteer her time to help disabled people in Sai Gon.

It was wonderful to witness how someone who has the skills to promote
mobility, quality of life and movement potential through examination,
evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention can change lives.

For me, this was an eye opening experience, when someone who had no
control of their right hand for over eight years can use it again and pick up
objects from a table after only two consultations, that is brilliant.

I / we would like to thank Patti for spending 11 days of her holidays in
Viet Nam and helping sooooo many people. Well done. I dips me lid !!!

Back at the PEACE VILLAGE in Sai Gon, Patti was not only helping out examining babies, she was also showing new ways how to treat the babies.
At the end of her short stint she also gave a lecture for all Physio Therapist's at the Peace Village.
